The Escapists Alcatraz DLC for Steam

This downloadable content adds the Alcatraz prison map to the base game The Escapists. It is intended for players who already own the core title on Steam and want a new escape scenario. The product is delivered as an online game code that activates through the Steam client. No physical media is included.

Minimum system requirements and limits

The DLC requires a dual-core processor running at 2.4 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and graphics equivalent to Intel HD Graphics 4000 or Radeon HD 4800 Series. It needs 2 GB of available storage space and a Windows XP or OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion operating system. Performance may suffer on hardware that no longer receives driver updates from the manufacturer.

Steam activation and regional restrictions

A Steam account is mandatory for activation and installation. The code cannot be redeemed in a list of blocked countries that includes RU, IR, KP, SY and others detailed in the specifications. Buyers without the base game The Escapists on Steam will not be able to play this content.

Questions about this item

Will the Alcatraz DLC run on my older PC that still uses a Dual Core 2.4 GHz processor and Intel HD Graphics 4000?

Yes, the DLC shares the base game's minimum requirements of a Dual Core 2.4 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM, and Intel HD Graphics 4000 or Nvidia GeForce 8000 series, so that hardware meets the spec.

How do I confirm the Alcatraz DLC is active after redeeming the Steam code?

In your Steam library, right-click The Escapists, select Properties, go to the DLC tab, and verify that The Escapists - Alcatraz shows as installed with a checkmark.

Does the purchase include the base game The Escapists or only the Alcatraz add-on?

This product is the Alcatraz DLC only; you must already own The Escapists on Steam to play it.
