Magnetic portable SSD for iPhone 15

The Team Group PD20M is a 1 TB external SSD that attaches magnetically to compatible iPhone 15 models. It uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C interface for direct connection. The drive is aimed at users who need extra space for ProRes video or large photo libraries while on the move.

1 TB capacity with 2000 MBps peaks

Sequential read and write speeds reach up to 2000 MBps, letting you offload multi-gigabyte clips quickly. The 1 TB volume holds hours of ProRes footage before filling. Sustained throughput will drop once the cache is exhausted, so very long continuous recordings may slow down.

8.2 mm thin aluminium body at 40 g

The magnesium-alloy shell measures 8.2 mm thick and weighs 40 g, so it adds negligible bulk to a phone. An integrated MagSafe-compatible array provides over 800 g of holding force for secure one-touch mounting. A USB Type-C to Type-C cable is included for plug-and-play use with laptops or tablets. Operating range spans 0 °C to 70 °C.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C interface on the PD20M work with my older USB 3.0 Type-A ports?

Yes, the USB Type-C interface is backward compatible with older USB ports, though speeds will be limited to the older port's maximum.

How can I verify the PD20M is delivering the rated 2000 MBps read and write speeds after setup?

Run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or AS SSD on a Windows PC connected via a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port to confirm sequential performance.

Does the package include a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter, or only the Type-C to Type-C cable?

The box includes a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable; a Type-C to Type-A adapter must be purchased separately.
