Two-computer DisplayPort KVM switch

This Teamyo KVM switch lets two computers share one DisplayPort monitor and four USB 2.0 peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse, printer or scanner. It is built for office, home-office or light-production desks that need to toggle between two systems without unplugging cables. The wired remote and front-panel button both change the active computer.

DisplayPort 1.2 at 4K 60 Hz

The single specification that decides fit is the video interface: DisplayPort 1.2 carrying 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, with 2K at 120 Hz also supported. If your monitors or GPUs require a newer DisplayPort version or higher refresh at 4K, this unit will not meet that need.

Bundled cables and wired remote

Two USB A-to-B cables are included so each computer can connect for both peripheral data and bus power, and a 1.5 m wired controller provides push-button switching from the desk. No external power supply is included, though a DC 5 V jack is present for optional stability.

Questions about this item

What does 4K at 60 Hz mean for my monitor?

The switch passes a 3840 x 2160 signal at 60 frames per second so your display shows full 4K clarity without downscaling.

Which DisplayPort version is used and what bandwidth limit does it set?

DisplayPort 1.2 caps the link at the bandwidth needed for 4K 60 Hz or 2K 120 Hz, so higher refresh rates at 4K are not possible.

How much desk space does the wired controller need?

The remote unit has a 1.5 m cable, letting you place the button within easy reach while the main switch sits near the computers.
