TeKit 9.84ft Toslink Optical Audio Cable OD6.0

This 9.84ft Toslink optical audio cable uses high-quality imported fiber cores to transmit digital sound between components. It connects CD, DVD, DAT, MD, LD, Blu-ray players and home-theatre systems for high-definition audio replay. The OD6.0 designation identifies the cable construction for reliable signal transfer.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive fiber-optic cable it generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. It draws no electrical power because light carries the signal instead of copper conductors. There are no active electronics to warm up or fans to spin.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 9.84ft Toslink cable and what step do people often get wrong?

Remove the protective caps from both connectors, align each square plug with the port and push straight in until it clicks; the step many miss is forgetting to take the caps off first.

What maintenance or replacement will the OD6.0 cable need later?

The fiber core is passive and requires no scheduled maintenance; replace the cable only if the ends are damaged or the jacket is kinked.
