TeKit 90° Down-Angled RJ45 Adapter

This TeKit adapter adds a 90-degree downward bend to an existing RJ45 patch cord. The male-to-female 8P8C connector accepts FTP, STP or UTP Cat 5e cables and extends the link without a shielded housing.

Installers routing cable along skirting

The right-angle profile keeps the plug close to the wall so doors close cleanly and strain on the jack is reduced. Builders who need an in-line coupler or a shielded barrel for outdoor runs should choose a different accessory.

90-degree downward angle

The fixed 90° down orientation determines whether the cable exits toward the floor or the desk surface. Verify the port layout on your switch, wall plate or device so the bend points the required direction.

Questions about this item

Will the 90 degree down angled adapter clear the back of my rack-mounted switch without bending the patch cord?

The 90 degree down angle routes the cable downward, so the patch cord exits parallel to the rack rail instead of sticking straight out.

How can I confirm the Cat 5e link is running at full speed after I plug it in?

Check the switch or NIC status LEDs — a solid green or amber link light at 1 Gbps indicates the adapter is passing all four pairs correctly.

Does the package include a new patch cord or only the male-to-female adapter?

Only the 90 degree down angled RJ45 male-to-female adapter is supplied; you must provide your own Cat 5e or higher patch cord.
