Tele Vue Dioptrx Astigmatism Correcting Lens 3.00 diopter optic

Astigmatism correction for Tele Vue eyepieces

The Tele Vue Dioptrx Astigmatism Correcting Lens - 3.00 diopter optic attaches to compatible Tele Vue eyepieces and corrects up to -3.00 diopter of astigmatism. It is intended for astronomers who want sharp full-field views without wearing eyeglasses during observing sessions. The lens locks onto over 20 long eye-relief Tele Vue eyepieces and rotates for precise alignment to the user's vision axis. Engraved barrel letters provide a reference for repeatable orientation.

Diopter range and eyepiece compatibility

The unit supplies a -3.00 diopter correction and is one step in a series available from 1/4 up to 3.5 diopters in quarter-diopter increments. It fits only the designated long eye-relief Tele Vue eyepieces; other eyepieces or brands are not supported. Observers whose astigmatism exceeds 3.5 diopters will need a different correction solution not covered by this product line.

Optical construction and handling

Multi-coated glass housed in anodized aluminum with a rubber eyeguard delivers durable optical performance and comfortable eye relief. The tool-free locking mechanism secures the lens to the eyepiece top for stable viewing. No power, cooling or electronic interface is involved; the accessory adds minimal mass and requires no maintenance beyond normal optical cleaning.
