The Telex MP785 is a dynamic gooseneck microphone built for professional paging and announcement systems. Its three color-coded buttons let operators select individual zones or call all zones simultaneously from a single position. The omnidirectional pickup captures speech from any angle, making it suited to reception desks, conference rooms and public-address installations where clear, hands-free communication is essential.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

As a passive low-impedance dynamic transducer, the MP785 generates no heat and draws no power from the audio chain. Its 150 Ohm output connects directly to professional preamplifiers or mixing consoles without additional phantom power or active circuitry. The absence of fans, amplifiers or digital processing means the unit adds zero acoustic noise to the environment.

Zone Control and Build Quality

The three illuminated zone buttons provide immediate visual confirmation of the active paging area, reducing operator error during live announcements. A steel flex boom arm allows precise positioning while resisting fatigue from daily adjustment, and the die-cast aluminium base with satin-chrome finish withstands knocks and cleaning agents common in shared spaces.
