Telex PT-400 PTT Switch Kit

The Telex PT-400 is a DPDT in-line push-to-talk switch kit with a locking feature. It is built for users of Telex full-sized, full-cushion communications headsets who need instant transmit control. The accessory adds a tactile switch to the cable run for professional or enthusiast voice setups.

Check headset compatibility and cable routing

Verify that you own a Telex full-sized, full-cushion communications headset, as the kit is engineered specifically for that range. Confirm the headset cable has enough slack to insert the in-line module without strain. Ensure the DPDT switching method matches the wiring expectations of your radio or intercom system.

Locking mechanism secures the connection

The integrated locking feature prevents accidental disconnection during high-movement use. This keeps the push-to-talk function reliable when the operator shifts position or handles equipment. The stable link reduces downtime caused by loose plugs in demanding environments.

Questions about this item

Does the PT-400 kit include a headset or only the in-line switch?

The kit supplies the DPDT in-line push-to-talk switch with its locking mechanism; a compatible Telex full-sized, full-cushion headset must be purchased separately.

How do I know the PT-400 will fit my Telex headset?

The PT-400 is engineered for seamless compatibility with any Telex full-sized, full-cushion communications headset, so it will work with every model in that range.

What does the DPDT switching do for me during a call?

The double-pole double-throw switch toggles both audio paths at once, giving instant push-to-talk control and a positive lock that prevents accidental disconnects in high-movement use.
