Tempilstik 450 °F indicator
The Tempilstik 28039 marks metal with a chalky line that turns clear and glossy the moment the surface reaches 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Accuracy is within one percent of the rated temperature. It is intended for pre-heating, annealing, stress relieving, interpass heat treatment and post-heating tasks.
Sustained thermal verification
During prolonged heating cycles the mark remains dull until the exact temperature is hit, then melts reliably at every inspection point. The stick meets ASME Code Sections I, III and VIII plus ANSI/ASME B31.1 and B31.3, so it stays consistent across repeated use in forging, welding and bonding operations.
450 °F rating decides fit
If the process calls for a different temperature this stick will not change at the right moment, making it unsuitable for lower or higher heat-treat windows. Buyers who need a different melting point must select another Tempilstik rating.
