Bluetooth Range and Accuracy

The TempPro TP-359 is a Bluetooth thermometer hygrometer with a 3.5 inch backlit LCD that displays indoor temperature and humidity in real time. It connects to a smartphone app over a 260 ft wireless range using a 5.0 Bluetooth chip. The sensor measures from -4 °F to 140 °F with ±0.3 °C accuracy and 10 % to 99 % humidity with ±2 %RH accuracy.

Home Monitoring and Limitations

This device suits homeowners who want remote alerts and long-term data graphs for rooms, greenhouses or cellars. The app supports up to ten sensors for whole-house coverage without requiring user registration. It is not for users who need wired connectivity, industrial certifications, or outdoor-rated hardware beyond the stated operating range.

Spec That Decides Fit

The decisive specification is the 260 ft Bluetooth range combined with ±0.3 °C and ±2 %RH accuracy. If your monitoring location sits within that distance and the tolerance meets your needs, the TP-359 fits; if you require longer reach or tighter precision, look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the sensor need AAA batteries to operate out of the box?

Yes, the package includes two AAA batteries so the sensor can start transmitting temperature and humidity readings immediately after pairing with the app.

Can I keep using my older ThermoPro sensors alongside this TP-359 model?

The app supports up to ten sensors simultaneously, so existing ThermoPro units can remain connected while you add this new sensor to monitor additional rooms.

How can I confirm the 3.5 inch backlit LCD is showing live data after setup?

The display updates in real time with 0.1° resolution for temperature and 1% for humidity, and the soft yellow backlight stays readable in any lighting condition.
