Light-intensity meter for multi-colour LEDs

The TM-209M measures illuminance in lux or foot-candles across six LED colour sources plus a standard reference. It follows JIS C 1609:1993 and CNS 5119 class A specifications with a silicon photodiode sensor corrected to the CIE luminous efficiency curve. Cosine angular correction improves off-axis readings. A 3¾-digit LED shows values up to 3999 counts.

Who should use it and who should not

Electricians, lighting installers and facility managers verifying white, red, amber, green, blue or purple LED output will find the dedicated source modes useful. The 99-record memory and max/min/average hold support survey work. Buyers needing spectral analysis, data logging via computer interface or calibrated uncertainty below ±3 % should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification: six LED source modes

The meter stores separate calibration factors for standard source A, white daylight, red, amber, green, blue and purple LEDs.
