Chair for general office tasks

The Hon Company 5711GA10T is a mesh-back task chair built for everyday desk work. It suits people who sit for long periods and need straightforward adjustability. The black polyester seat and mesh back keep the look neutral for shared or private spaces. A five-star plastic base with casters lets you move around the workstation easily.

Breathable back with simple controls

The mesh back promotes airflow while the polyester seat resists stains from daily use. Pneumatic seat-height adjustment and tilt tension with tilt lock are operated from a seated position. No fan, pump or power draw is involved, so the chair runs silently and adds nothing to the room’s energy load.

Consistent support through the workday

The generously proportioned cushions maintain their shape during sustained sitting sessions. Tilt tension lets you set resistance once and keep it without repeated fiddling. The plastic base and casters continue rolling smoothly on standard office flooring over extended use.

Questions about this item

How is the pneumatic seat height adjustment lever used during assembly?

The pneumatic seat height adjustment lever is typically pre-installed on the chair mechanism; the main assembly step is attaching the base and casters to the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the cylinder seats fully into the base before sitting.

What maintenance does the mesh back and polyester seat require?

Vacuum the mesh back regularly to remove dust and spot-clean the 100% polyester seat fabric with mild detergent and water; the stain-resistant finish helps repel spills but should be blotted promptly.

When does the plastic five-star base show wear under daily rolling?

The plastic base and casters are designed for general office use; on hard floors, caster treads may flatten first, so using a chair mat reduces premature wear on the base and wheels.
