10500 Series Box/File Credenza

The Hon Company HON10565LS1 is a box/file credenza designed for professional office environments. It provides a kneespace configuration that supports seated work while keeping essential files within reach. The laminate finish resists daily wear and suits a range of décor styles.

Upgrading from open shelving or stackable units

This credenza replaces loose storage towers or basic shelving that lack integrated filing and a dedicated work surface. The jump is worth it when a single piece must combine drawer organisation, a stable top and a clear kneespace for chair access. It consolidates clutter into one footprint.

Verify desk depth and clearance before ordering

Confirm the 24.00" depth aligns with your planned layout and that the 60.00" width fits the available wall space. Check that the 29.50" height matches adjacent worksurfaces for a flush installation. Ensure the kneespace dimensions suit the user's chair and legroom requirements.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 60.00" wide by 24.00" deep credenza require?

The unit occupies a footprint of 60.00 inches wide by 24.00 inches deep, so allow at least that much clear floor area plus room for drawer extension and chair clearance.

What is the common assembly mistake with the box/file pedestal on this HON10565LS1?

Installing the file-hanging rails backwards is the frequent error; the tabs must face the front so letter-size folders hang correctly and the drawer closes flush.

How do I adjust the file drawer slides if they bind on the 10500 Series credenza?

Most HON pedestals use a Phillips-head screw on the slide bracket; loosen it slightly, align the drawer front evenly, then retighten while checking smooth travel.
