Versatile seating platform

The Hon Company Ignition 2.0 vinyl task chair serves workers from the 5th percentile female to the 95th percentile male. Adjustable arms and quick-select lumbar height suit varied body types and work styles. Black vinyl upholstery resists damage in busy offices. The 27 inch width fits standard workstations.

Practical limits of vinyl upholstery

Vinyl seat and back surfaces withstand daily wear but lack the breathability of mesh or fabric options. Fixed overall dimensions of 44.5 inch height, 27 inch width and 28.5 inch depth restrict fit in compact spaces. Seat height adjusts only between 17 and 22 inches, limiting use at very high or low surfaces.

Seat width decides fit

A 20 inch wide seat with 19 inch depth determines whether the chair accommodates the user comfortably. Buyers needing a broader or deeper seat should consider other models. The 5-star base and adjustable arms support typical task workflows.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 20 inch wide seat or the other seat size for a taller user?

This model has a single 20 inch wide seat; the adjustable height range of 17 to 22 inches accommodates users from the 5th to 95th percentile.

What does the 44.5 inch overall height mean when the chair is at my desk?

The back reaches 44.5 inches from the floor at its tallest setting, while the seat itself sits between 17 and 22 inches high.

How does the 5‑star base affect stability on carpet versus hard floor?

The five‑star base distributes weight evenly; the supplied casters roll on both carpet and hard surfaces without a separate mat.
