Splits one XLR female signal into two male outputs using oxygen-free copper conductors and 6.0 mm PVC shielding
This XLR female-to-dual-male Y cable splits one microphone signal to two destinations in a one-foot length. It suits studio engineers, live-sound operators and podcasters who need a quick, portable way to feed a mixer and a recorder simultaneously.
The passive Y topology divides the source voltage between both outputs, so each destination receives a lower level than a direct connection. Long cable runs after the split can increase noise susceptibility, and the 6.0 mm diameter cable adds bulk in tight racks. Phantom power passes through only if both downstream devices present identical loads.
Connectors are wired pin-for-pin, so installation is a matter of inserting the female jack into the microphone and the two male plugs into the receiving inputs. Mis-matched impedance between the two loads can cause level imbalance or frequency-response changes, and the .24 inch jacket offers limited strain relief if cables are pulled at sharp angles.

The one-foot length keeps the signal path short and tidy on stage or in a rack; choose a longer cable only if the two male plugs must reach widely separated inputs.
A 6.0 mm jacket is slim enough to route alongside other patch cables without crowding the XLR panel, yet thick enough to protect the 100 % oxygen-free copper conductors inside.
The single female jack receives one balanced source and the Y splits it to two male plugs, sending the same signal to two destinations such as a mixer and a recorder simultaneously.
