Heavy-Duty DVR Lockbox

The Wires Zone 15-inch lockbox uses 16-gauge steel construction with a locking door to protect DVRs, VCRs and similar equipment from tampering. It is built for installers and system owners who need physical security for recording hardware in accessible locations. The compact 15 by 15 by 5 inch footprint fits standard surveillance gear without requiring oversized enclosures.

Cooling With Included Fan

A built-in exhaust fan and power cord ship in the box to actively lower internal temperatures during continuous operation. Both sides feature ventilation openings that promote unrestricted airflow while the fan runs. This arrangement keeps recording equipment from overheating without relying on passive convection alone.

Mounting And Cable Access

Knockout holes with removable rubber plugs let you route cables exactly where the installation demands while maintaining the sealed integrity of the enclosure. Mounting bolts are supplied for direct surface attachment. Two keys operate the lock, and the package includes a power connector for the fan so the cooling circuit is ready to wire on site.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 15-inch lockbox and what step is often missed?

Use the supplied mounting bolts to fix the 16-gauge steel box to a wall or shelf, then insert the rubber plugs into any unused knockout holes so the enclosure stays secure.

What maintenance will the included fan need over time?

The exhaust fan runs from the supplied power cord; periodically clean dust from both ventilation sides so airflow stays unrestricted.

What limit appears first during continuous operation?

The 15-by-15-by-5-inch interior volume and fixed fan capacity set the cooling ceiling; sustained loads that exceed that airflow will raise internal temperatures first.
