12AWG speaker cable for home and vehicle audio

This 12-gauge two-conductor wire connects loudspeakers to amplifiers in stereo, security, intercom and nurse-call systems. The stranded construction suits both home-automation installs and automotive runs. Buyers who need in-wall rated cable or a higher conductor count should look elsewhere.

Flexible 122-strand design with polarity stripe

Each conductor contains 122 strands of 0.16mm copper-clad aluminium for pliable routing around door-frames and corners. A blue stripe on one conductor makes polarity matching straightforward during termination. Installers without wire strippers or crimp tools may find the fine strands harder to manage than solid-core alternatives.

Verify length and conductor material before ordering

The reel supplies 100 feet of 12/2 gauge cable, so measure your longest run to confirm coverage. The conductors are CCA rather than pure copper, which affects resistance on very long runs. Systems requiring oxygen-free copper or plenum-rated jackets are not supported by this product.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the speaker wire is working as intended after setup?

Verify that audio plays clearly through both channels with no distortion, confirming the 12AWG 2-conductor cable with blue stripe is correctly polarised and the 122 strands of 0.16mm CCA conductors are making solid contact.

What is included in the box and what must I buy separately?

The box contains two 12 AWG 100ft speaker wires. You will need to purchase connectors such as banana plugs, spade lugs or pin terminals separately to terminate the stripped ends.

Which version or capacity should I choose for my installation?

This single listing provides 12AWG gauge with 100 feet of two-conductor cable. Choose it if your run length and amplifier power suit 12-gauge CCA wire; otherwise select a different gauge or length from another listing.
