What the Argent K6 RGB is

The Thermaltake Argent K6 RGB is a low-profile mechanical gaming keyboard built around Cherry MX Low Profile RGB Red switches. An aluminium top plate and asymmetrical curvature give it a slim floating-key look. It is aimed at gamers who want a compact, linear switch feel with per-key RGB lighting and dedicated media controls.

What the knob and software change

A car-audio style aluminium knob handles volume, webpage scrolling and page navigation through press-and-hold combinations. The iTAKE software lets you remap the knob and store up to six profiles in onboard memory. Sixteen-point-eight million colour illumination supports effects such as Wave, Spiral Rainbow and Concentric Circles.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm your system has a free USB port for the wired connection. The low-profile switches and keycaps are not compatible with standard Cherry MX stem keycap sets. Buyers who need a wireless connection, a numpad section or full-height key travel should look at other models.
