18.5V 3.5A AC adapter for HP Pavilion

This 45W power supply replaces the original charger for a wide range of HP Pavilion and HP G-series notebooks. It delivers 18.5V at 3.5A from a 100-240V AC input, making it suitable for worldwide use. The unit ships with a detachable AC power cord and a 7.4mm barrel connector.

7.4mm connector fits listed HP models

The adapter plugs directly into compatible laptops such as the Pavilion DV7, DV6, DV5, DV4 and G60 through G72 series without extra cables. Its three-prong AC inlet accepts a standard IEC C5 cord, freeing you from proprietary wall plugs. The compact brick measures 4.25 x 1.8 x 1.18 inches for easy travel.

45W output covers everyday workloads

The 45W rating comfortably powers office applications, web browsing and video playback on the supported platforms. It will not sustain heavy discrete-GPU loads or charge the battery while the system draws maximum power. Buyers needing higher wattage for gaming or workstation models should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 18.5V 3.5A 45W output sustain a full load without shutting down?

The adapter delivers a steady 18.5V at 3.5A for a continuous 45W output, which matches the original HP charger rating for the listed Pavilion models.

Does the 100-240V 1.2A input run hot or make noise during all-day use?

The unit accepts 100-240V AC at 1.2A and 50-60Hz with no fan; it uses passive cooling, so it stays silent and only warms to normal operating temperature under continuous load.

The 7.4mm by 5.0mm three-prong connector matches the DC jack on the compatible HP Pavilion DV4, DV5, DV6, DV7, G60, G61, G62, G70, G71, G72 and HP 2000 series models listed.
