5239 Straight Conduit Fitting

The Thomas & Betts 5239 is a straight conduit fitting designed for 3 in trade size flexible liquid-tight metallic conduit. It provides a 3 in MNPT box connection constructed from iron and steel with an electro zinc plated gray finish. The fitting carries hazardous location ratings for Class I Division 2, Class II Divisions 1 and 2, and Class III Divisions 1 and 2.

Suited for hazardous liquid-tight runs

This fitting suits installers routing 3 in flexible metallic conduit into enclosures in classified areas where a straight threaded hub is required. It is not for buyers needing an insulated throat, an external grounding lug, integrated strain-relief mesh, or an angled connector orientation for tight bends.

3 in MNPT threaded hub

The decisive specification is the 3 in MNPT straight threaded hub that matches a 3 in knockout. Only conduit systems built to that exact trade size and thread standard will connect securely without adapters.

Questions about this item

Will the 5239 fitting thread onto my existing 3 in MNPT box connections?

Yes, the 5239 provides a 3 in MNPT box connection that matches standard 3 in threaded openings.

How can I verify the 5239 fitting maintains a proper liquid-tight seal after installation?

Confirm the conduit seats fully into the straight connector body and the gland nut compresses the sealing ring evenly around the flexible metallic conduit.

Does the 5239 come with a locknut and sealing gasket, or must I purchase them separately?

The 5239 fitting is supplied as the connector body only; a 3 in locknut and box-sealing gasket are not included and must be sourced separately.
