What this light kit provides

The Thomasville Lighting H61E5 is a 9.8ft COB LED strip light kit rated at 48 watts on a 24 volt supply. It delivers RGBICW colour mixing with a dedicated warm white channel for functional illumination. The strip uses integrated COB packaging at 1260 LEDs per metre for a continuous, spotless line of light. It is designed for indoor installation only.

Sustained output and thermal behaviour

The COB design spreads 1260 LEDs across every metre, producing 450 lumens per metre in a uniform strip without visible dots. A soft silicone sleeve diffuses the output and protects the emitters during extended runs. The 24 volt architecture reduces current draw compared with lower voltage strips, helping maintain consistent brightness over the full 9.8ft length. The kit includes adhesive backing rated for surface mounting on clean, dry indoor surfaces.

Compatibility that decides fit

Control is handled through the Govee Home app and the strip works with Matter certified platforms including HomeKit, Alexa and Google Assistant. Voice commands and app based DIY modes address 12 segments per metre for custom colour effects. No hub is required for Bluetooth pairing, but the product does not support non Matter ecosystems or outdoor use. Buyers needing longer continuous runs or weatherproof installation should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How warm does the 48 W COB strip get after running all day?

At 48 watts the strip produces 450 lm/m while the silicone sleeve acts as a diffuser; heat stays low enough for continuous indoor use.

What power supply do I need to run the 24 V, 9.8 ft kit?

A 24 V DC adapter rated for at least 48 W is required; the kit includes only the strip and manual.

Can I mix this RGBICW strip with my older RGBIC Govee lights in the same app?

Yes — both use the Govee Home App and support Matter, so they appear together for grouped scenes and voice control.
