Smart RGB downlight kit

The Thomasville Lighting HK-WMTD-5W-1P-W is a 2-inch WiFi-enabled LED recessed kit that delivers 16 million colours plus tunable white from 2700K to 6500K. It draws 5W at 120V and includes the required dimmable driver for a single retrofit installation.

Replaces 50W halogen

This 5W unit replaces a 50W halogen lamp and cuts energy use by over 85 percent while adding full colour control and voice integration. The jump is worth it when you want smart scenes, music sync or scheduling without running new wiring or buying a separate hub.

Suits indoor retrofit projects

It fits 2 1/8 or 2 3/8 inch openings and works with Alexa and Google Assistant for hands-free dimming and colour changes. Buyers who need outdoor-rated fixtures, higher lumen output or a multi-pack should look at other options.

Questions about this item

What size ceiling cut-out does the 2 inch downlight need?

The canless fixture fits a 2 1/8 or 2 3/8 inch opening and the housing measures 2.71 inches wide by 1.65 inches high.

How do I connect the smart downlight to Alexa or Google Assistant?

Wire the included dimmable driver to 120 V mains, power the light, then add the device in the companion app and link the skill to your voice assistant.

When will the LED module need replacing?

The integrated LED array is rated for long life; if output drops or colour shifts after years of use, the whole sealed unit is replaced rather than a separate bulb.
