TV LED backlight kit 16.5ft

The Thomasville Lighting ST5205 is a 16.5ft RGB LED strip kit designed for 45 to 75 inch televisions. It includes a USB-powered control box and adhesive-backed strips for indoor installation. The kit provides adjustable multicolour bias lighting behind the screen.

Upgrade from basic single-colour strips

This kit replaces fixed-colour or non-smart backlights by adding Bluetooth app control, 16-plus colours and dynamic modes such as strobe, fade and flash. The jump is worth it when you want music-sync effects or per-scene colour changes without rewiring.

Suits viewers wanting app-controlled bias lighting

It suits users who want smartphone or button control for ambient lighting on a single large screen. Buyers who need longer runs for multiple displays, outdoor-rated strips or hardwired installations should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Does the 16.5ft LED strip cover all four edges of a 75-inch TV?

Yes, the 16.5ft length is designed to wrap the perimeter of screens from 45 to 75 inches, including the longer horizontal edges on a 75-inch model.

What surface preparation does the adhesive on the ST5205 strips need before sticking to the TV back?

Clean the rear casing with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry completely, then press each strip firmly for 30 seconds so the adhesive bonds to the smooth plastic or metal.

When the USB control box on the ST5205 stops responding, what part should be checked first?

Test the TV's USB port or a 5V wall adapter with another device; if power is present, the control box or strip itself has failed and the kit needs replacement.
