Smart 4-inch LED light kit

The Thomasville Lighting TD4C001 is a 12 W recessed downlight that delivers 1080 lumens of RGBCW output. It fits a 4-inch cutout and is rated for indoor use only. Voice control works with Alexa and the BRmesh app connects over Bluetooth 5.0 without a hub or internet connection.

Upgrade from fixed-white recessed cans

This kit replaces a standard white downlight when you want 16 million colours and a 2700 K to 6000 K tunable range. The jump is worth it for rooms that shift between task lighting and mood scenes such as home theatre or holiday themes. Buyers who need a hard-wired dimmer circuit or a fixture larger than 4 inches should look elsewhere.

Check ceiling depth and Bluetooth range

Verify the 1.37 inch housing height clears your joist space before ordering. The 4.7 inch square trim covers the cutout cleanly. Ensure your phone or Alexa device reaches the light over Bluetooth 5.0 Mesh for reliable group control and music-sync features.

Questions about this item

What cut-out diameter does the 4 in SikSog light kit require?

The light kit is sized at 4 in and measures 4.7 L x 4.7 W inches, so a matching 4 in cut-out is needed for recessed mounting.

How is the SikSog TD4C001 installed and what step is often missed?

Install by wiring the included junction box to AC power, then spring-mount the canless body into the 4 in cut-out; the step often missed is enabling Bluetooth 5.0 on the phone before opening the BRmesh app for pairing.

What maintenance will the 12 W 1080 lm LED module need over time?

The integrated LED module is rated for long life with no user-replaceable parts; maintenance is limited to occasional dusting of the white trim and verifying the junction box connections remain tight.
