USB microphone for creators

The Thronmax M2PG is a USB Type-C microphone built for podcasters, streamers and voice-over artists who need plug-and-play recording on FreeBSD, Linux, Windows or macOS. Three condenser capsules capture a 20Hz-20kHz frequency range with 24-bit/96kHz A/D conversion for detailed sound.

VERTIGAIN and pattern selection

VERTIGAIN technology directs sound waves vertically toward the three capsules, reducing dispersion for clearer audio. A mode button cycles through four polar patterns — cardioid, stereo, bi-directional and omnidirectional — so one microphone handles solo work, interviews or ambient capture.

USB audio interface limits

The USB Type-C connection carries both power and audio, so no external supply is needed, but cable length and host controller bandwidth set the practical recording distance. A 3.5mm headphone jack provides zero-latency monitoring, yet the analog output is fixed to the device’s internal converter.

Questions about this item

Will the three condenser capsules need cleaning or replacement after long use?

The three condenser capsules are fixed inside the housing and have no user-serviceable parts; normal dust removal with a soft brush is the only maintenance required.

What is the first limit reached during a marathon recording session?

The 24-bit/96 kHz A/D conversion and USB Type-C bus power set the practical ceiling; no internal thermal throttle or buffer limit is specified.

How much heat or fan noise appears when the microphone runs all day?

There is no cooling fan; the all-metal body stays near room temperature and the only audible sound is the programme material itself.
