Thunderobot Storm 17 Gaming Laptop

This 17.3 inch gaming laptop pairs an Intel Core i7-13620H with a GeForce RTX 5070 GPU. It ships with 16GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. The QHD panel runs at 165Hz for smooth motion in fast titles. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The 10 core processor and dedicated graphics suit gamers and creators who need high frame rates at 2560 x 1440. The 512GB drive fills quickly with modern game installs, so buyers planning large libraries should consider a model with more storage. The 16GB memory is adequate for current titles but not user-expandable beyond the listed maximum.

Deciding specification: 165Hz QHD display

The 17.3 inch screen delivers 2560 x 1440 resolution at 165Hz, a combination that determines whether the laptop matches a buyer's visual expectations. If the target use requires a higher refresh rate or a different resolution, this panel will not fit the requirement. The display characteristic is the single fixed attribute that cannot be changed after purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the USB Type-C and HDMI ports let me connect my older monitors and peripherals without adapters?

The laptop provides one HDMI port and one superspeed USB Type-C port alongside three USB Type-A ports and an RJ-45 jack, so most legacy displays and devices plug in directly.

How can I verify the 165 Hz panel and RTX 5070 are running at full speed after I set up Windows 11 Home?

Open the NVIDIA control panel to confirm the GPU is active, then check Display settings to ensure the refresh rate is set to 165 Hz at 2560 x 1440 resolution.

What accessories come in the box and what must I purchase separately for memory or storage upgrades?

The unit ships with the laptop, power adapter and documentation; the 16 GB DDR5 4800 memory and 512 GB SSD are already installed, and the chassis supports up to 64 GB RAM and 2 TB storage if you buy extra modules later.
