Ticonderoga #2 HB Graphite Pencils 12 Count

This pack contains twelve wood-cased pencils with a proprietary #2 HB graphite formula designed for smooth, consistent lines. The black lacquered finish provides a coated matte surface. They are PMA certified non-toxic, making them suitable for students, office workers, and general writing tasks. Each pencil includes a latex-free eraser secured in a green and gold ferrule.

Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Verify that standard hexagonal pencils fit your preferred sharpener, pencil cup, or storage case. Confirm the #2 HB hardness matches the requirement for standardised tests or specific writing preferences. The unsharpened state means a sharpener is needed before first use. Check that the 12-count quantity aligns with your supply needs.

Build Integration and Space Considerations

The case measures 0.9 by 9.2 by 21.4 centimetres and weighs 0.08 kilograms, occupying minimal desk or drawer space. The responsibly sourced wood sharpens evenly with minimal breakage, reducing waste. The latex-free eraser removes marks cleanly without smudging, keeping work surfaces tidy. The durable core supports extended writing sessions up to 45000 words per pencil.

Questions about this item

What comes in the 12-count case and is anything else needed to start writing?

The case contains twelve unsharpened #2 HB graphite pencils with latex-free erasers; a sharpener is not included and must be purchased separately.

How do I choose between the standard #2 HB version and other Ticonderoga pencil types?

This model 13953 is the standard #2 HB graphite pencil in black; other versions such as My First, Laddie, Neon, Noir or Golf pencils differ in size, shape or colour and serve different age groups or uses.

What does the claim of 45,000 words per pencil mean for everyday use?

It indicates the graphite core is formulated for long writing life, so each pencil can handle extensive note-taking, testing or drawing before needing replacement.
