Compact Mobile Workstation

The Tiffany Industries 945ANT mobile PC cart provides a compact steel workstation for offices needing flexible computer placement. Four casters, two of which lock, allow the unit to be moved between work areas and secured in position. A full-width slide-out tray stores the keyboard out of sight when not required. The perforated lower shelf supports a CPU tower while promoting passive airflow.

Upgrade from Fixed Desks

This cart replaces a static desk layout where the monitor, keyboard and CPU tower occupy permanent floor space. The mobility jump is worth it when workstations must shift between collaborative zones, training rooms or temporary project areas. Locking casters keep the unit stable during use, removing the trip hazard of trailing cables across walkways. It suits single-user setups rather than multi-monitor arrays.

Steel Construction Limits

The all-steel frame with perforated uprights gives strength and ventilation but adds mass that affects push effort on thick carpet. The fixed overall height of 29.75 inches cannot be adjusted, so the working surface suits standing or high-stool use but not standard seated desk height. The single CPU shelf and keyboard tray limit the configuration to one tower and one input device.

Questions about this item

What clearance is needed for the 23.50 depth and 29.75 width of this cart?

The cart measures 23.50 deep by 29.75 wide, so allow at least that footprint plus room for the four 2-inch casters to swivel.

How do I install the slide-out keyboard tray and perforated CPU shelf, and what step is often missed?

Attach the tray and shelf to the steel uprights with the supplied hardware; the step often missed is tightening all bolts after the cart is levelled on its four casters.

What maintenance will the two locking casters and perforated steel shelf need over time?

Periodically check the locking mechanisms on the two casters for debris and wipe the perforated steel shelf to keep airflow clear for the CPU.
