UV Protector Filter 52mm

The Tiffen 52UVP is a 52mm UV protector filter designed for any camera lens with a matching thread size. It serves as a permanent shield against dust, moisture, fingerprints and scratches while absorbing UV light that can cause a bluish cast in photographs.

Suitable for constant lens protection

Photographers who want a filter that stays on the lens at all times for physical protection and general UV haze reduction will find this model appropriate. Buyers who need stronger UV absorption for extreme high-altitude or over-water conditions, or those requiring specialised coatings for flare control, should look at alternative filter types.

52mm thread size

The decisive specification is the 52mm diameter which must match the lens thread exactly for the filter to mount securely. Verify the front of your lens barrel for this measurement before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the 52mm thread size limit which lenses I can protect?

The filter fits any lens with a 52mm front thread, so it works across brands as long as the thread diameter matches.

Will the glass affect exposure or colour balance during all-day shooting?

It absorbs roughly three-quarters of UV light to cut haze and bluish cast while adding virtually no density, so exposure and colour stay consistent.

What must my lens already have for this filter to mount?

Your lens needs a 52mm female filter thread on its front barrel; no adapter rings or special mounts are required.
