Cinematic Diffusion Filter

The Tiffen 62mm Warm Black Pro-Mist 1/2 Filter is a professional-grade camera accessory designed for photographers and videographers seeking cinematic image quality. Originally developed for TV and motion picture production, it brings Hollywood-style effects to all creators. It fits lenses with a 62mm thread size for broad compatibility.

Subtle Highlight Control

The filter gently diffuses incoming light to create a mist-like atmosphere that enhances mood and depth in every frame. It controls highlight flares and lowers contrast without excessively lightening shadows for a delicate look. The 1/2 strength provides a balanced effect that maintains image clarity while reducing excessive sharpness.

Integrated Warming Effect

The built-in 812 warming layer adds a pleasing golden tone that ensures perfect skin tones and inviting warmth. This combination eliminates the need to stack separate diffusion and warming filters on the lens. It effectively counteracts cool, dull lighting conditions for a more flattering result.

Questions about this item

Will the 62mm thread fit the lenses I already own?

The filter uses a 62mm thread, so it mounts directly on any lens with a matching 62mm front diameter.

How can I confirm the Warm Black Pro-Mist 1/2 is producing the intended look?

Highlights should show a contained, soft flare, contrast will be lowered without lifting shadows, and skin tones gain a subtle warm cast from the integrated 812 warming layer.

Does the package include a case or any adapters, or do I need to buy them separately?

The box contains only the 62mm Warm Black Pro-Mist 1/2 filter; protective pouches, step-up rings or cleaning cloths are sold separately.
