95mm unthreaded full-spectrum ND 0.6 filter for Tilta Mirage Matte Box systems, cutting two stops with minimal colour shift

  • Precise exposure control with 0.6 density reduction
  • True-to-life colour accuracy via full-spectrum glass
  • Scratch-resistant multi-layer coating extends filter life
  • Secure unthreaded fit for Tilta Mirage Matte Box
  • Uniform light reduction across visible UV and IR spectrum

Precise Exposure Control

The Tilta Illusion 95mm Full Spectrum ND 0.6 Filter provides a 0.6 density option for photographers and videographers who need accurate light reduction. It is built for the Circular 95mm Standard of Tilta Mirage Matte Box systems, ensuring a secure, unthreaded fit. This accessory suits creators working in bright conditions who want to open their aperture for shallower depth of field without compromising colour fidelity.

Optical Performance

The full-spectrum glass uniformly reduces visible, ultraviolet and infrared wavelengths, delivering balanced exposure and minimising colour cast. Multi-layer coatings protect the surface from scratches, preserving clarity over extended use. Because the filter targets the entire spectrum, it maintains consistent colour rendition while cutting light intensity for reliable results in daylight or strong artificial light.

Matte Box Integration

The unthreaded 95mm format slots directly into compatible Mirage Matte Boxes, streamlining filter changes during production. Builders using other matte box standards or thread-mounted filter workflows will need a different solution. The robust coating and precise dimensions support daily professional use where quick, repeatable mounting matters.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Illusion 95mm filter into the Mirage Matte Box, and what step do people miss?

Slide the unthreaded 95mm glass into the circular filter tray until it seats flush; the step users miss is checking that the tray latch clicks fully closed so the filter cannot shift during movement.

What maintenance or replacement will this filter need over time?

Clean the multi-layer coated surfaces with a microfibre cloth and lens solution when smudges appear; replace the filter only if the glass is scratched or the coating degrades enough to affect image quality.

What limit appears first when using this 0.6 density filter continuously in bright daylight?

The two-stop light reduction fixes exposure at wider apertures, so the practical limit is the minimum aperture your lens can reach before diffraction softens the image.
