Arc Flash Protection
The Tingley J44129 Eclipse rain jacket is arc-rated personal protective equipment built for workers exposed to electrical arc hazards. It meets PPE Category 2 with an ATPV rating of 11 cal/sq cm and ANSI Class 3 high-visibility requirements.
Arc Rating Limits
The garment provides protection up to its tested arc thermal performance value of 11 cal/sq cm. It does not meet the higher energy thresholds required for Category 3 or Category 4 tasks, so it cannot be used where incident energy exceeds this level.
Therm-O-Rad Sealed Seams
Therm-O-Rad sealed seams deliver 100 percent liquid-proof protection, a single specification that determines whether this jacket keeps the wearer dry during prolonged wet-weather work. Without this seam technology, water ingress would compromise both comfort and arc-rated integrity.
