Professional Audio Microphone

The TOA Electronics DM-1200 is a unidirectional moving coil microphone built for clear vocal and speech reproduction. Its rugged diecast zinc body and aluminium head suit stage performances, lectures and frequent handheld or stand-mounted use.

Bundled Cable Expands Compatibility

The included XLR-to-1/4" cable lets you connect directly to mixers, amplifiers or interfaces that use quarter-inch inputs. This adds flexibility for venues or studios without requiring a separate adapter purchase.

600 Ohms Balanced Impedance

The microphone presents a 600 Ohms balanced output through its XLR male connector, ensuring low-noise signal transfer over professional cable runs. Match this impedance with your preamp or mixer input for optimal performance.

Questions about this item

Will the on/off switch need replacing after heavy use?

The short slide on/off switch is designed to minimise switching noise, but the supplier data gives no service interval or rated cycle count for the switch itself.

What limits continuous operation first — heat, power draw or cable strain?

As a passive moving-coil microphone it draws no power and generates no heat, so the practical limit is physical strain on the supplied XLR-to-1/4" cable or connector.

Does the mic or its cable run warm or add noise after hours of use?

The microphone has no active electronics, so it produces no heat or self-noise; only the preamp gain required for its 600 Ohms output adds any noise floor.
