Podcast Microphone for Content Creators

The TONOR TD510 AIR+ is a dynamic microphone built for podcasters, streamers and voice-over artists who need clear vocal capture. It offers both USB and XLR connections so you can start recording immediately or integrate with an audio interface later. A supercardioid polar pattern focuses on sound directly in front of the capsule while rejecting off-axis noise and room echo. The kit includes a boom arm for flexible desktop positioning.

Upgrade Path from USB to XLR Workflows

The dual-output design lets you move from a simple USB setup to a professional XLR chain without buying a new microphone. Connect directly to a computer, PS4 or PS5 via USB for plug-and-play use, then add an audio interface and XLR cable when you need higher headroom or analogue gain staging. Three selectable EQ modes — bass roll-off, vocal clarity and mid-range emphasis — adapt the frequency response to different rooms or voice types. AI noise reduction further suppresses low-frequency background hum in USB mode.

Compatibility and Setup Checks

Verify that your recording device provides a USB-A port or an XLR input with phantom power disabled, as this dynamic capsule does not require it. The 3.5 mm monitoring jack lets you hear yourself in real time with independent volume control. Note that the XLR cable is not included and the microphone is not compatible with Xbox consoles. Confirm your boom arm mount fits the included hardware before ordering.

Questions about this item

What thread size does the included boom arm use for mounting?

The boom arm clamps to a desk and holds the microphone via its standard 5/8-inch thread adapter, which is built into the mic body.

Which step do users often miss when switching from USB to XLR mode?

Users often forget to disconnect the USB cable before connecting an XLR cable to an audio interface; the microphone must be powered by only one source at a time.

How should the foam windscreen be maintained after long recording sessions?

Remove the foam windscreen and let it air-dry completely before reattaching it to prevent moisture buildup on the capsule.
