Replacement Wireless Card for Satellite P740 P745

This new Toshiba 112BNHMW card restores Wi-Fi to the listed Satellite notebooks. It uses the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 module in a PCIe half-height form factor. The part matches MPN 593530-001 and K000112470 for direct compatibility.

Thermals and Power in Normal Use

The half-height PCIe interface draws minimal power from the notebook slot. No active cooling is required on the card itself. Operation stays within the thermal envelope of the original factory wireless module.

What the Bundled Part Changes

The package supplies only the wireless card; no antennas, cables or driver media are included. Installation reuses the existing antenna leads and slot hardware. Driver support is provided by the operating system or the notebook manufacturer's support site.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 112BNHMW card into my Satellite P740, and what step is often missed?

Insert the half-size PCIe card into the mini-PCIe slot, secure it with the retaining screw, then snap both antenna connectors onto the gold posts — forgetting the second antenna lead is the common mistake.

What part of the 112BNHMW will need replacement first under normal use?

The two U.FL antenna pigtails and their connectors wear from repeated opening of the laptop lid; the card itself has no moving parts.

What performance limit appears first when the 112BNHMW runs at full load for long periods?

Thermal throttling of the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 chip reduces throughput once the laptop chassis reaches its heat-soak point.
