What this lamp replaces

The Toshiba TLP-450 is a 150W replacement projector lamp module supplied as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly. It is intended for owners of compatible Toshiba projectors who need a direct, ready-to-install spare.

Lamp life and power draw

Rated output is 150W and the manufacturer quotes a 2,000-hour service life under normal operating conditions. Actual runtime will vary with projector usage patterns, eco-mode settings and ambient temperature, so plan replacement around the hour counter rather than a fixed calendar date.

Compatibility check

The critical specification is the TLP-450 part number (also referenced as TLPL6); only projectors that list this exact code will accept the module. Buyers whose units require a different lamp code or a higher wattage cannot use this part.

Questions about this item

Which TLP-450 version should I choose — OEM direct, Toshiba-branded, alternative OEM or compatible?

The range includes three OEM versions from Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita, plus a compatible using genuine OEM parts; all meet ISO 9001 checks for ignition, voltage and run-time.

What does the 2,000-hour rating mean for daily use?

At typical brightness the 150W UHP lamp is rated for 2,000 hours; running a few hours a day gives many months before a replacement is needed.

Does the TLP-450 lamp fit my projector without extra wiring?

The module ships as a fully assembled bulb and housing matching the original TLPL6 form factor, so it installs directly into compatible Toshiba projectors.
