Compatible Dell Precision models

This 6-cell replacement battery is built for the Dell Precision 7670, 7680, 7770 and 7780 mobile workstations. It restores original runtime for professionals who rely on these machines for demanding workloads away from a desk outlet.

Sustained capacity delivery

The 83 WHr pack maintains consistent voltage across the full discharge curve, avoiding the sharp drop-off seen in aged cells. Steady 11.55 V output keeps CPU and GPU clocks stable during long render or compute sessions without throttling.

Decisive specification

An 83 WHr rating determines whether this unit matches the factory energy budget of the supported Precision chassis. Lower-capacity alternatives will cut usable runtime, while higher-capacity packs are not offered for this form factor.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 83 WHr 6-cell battery generate during a full workday?

Lithium-ion packs like this 83 WHr unit produce very little heat under normal loads; the Dell Precision chassis manages any warmth through its existing thermal design.

Does the RCVVT-TM require a specific Dell AC adapter to charge?

It charges from the standard Dell Precision 7670, 7680, 7770 or 7780 power adapter already supplied with those laptops.

Will the 11.55 V pack work if I keep my older Dell Precision dock?

Yes, the battery fits the 7670, 7680, 7770 and 7780 models, so any dock compatible with those systems will operate normally.
