Flex Core Silicone Pasta Claw

The Tovolo Flex Core Silicone Pasta Claw is a single-piece serving utensil designed for lifting and draining long noodles such as spaghetti and linguine. Its deep slotted bowl and sturdy teeth grip pasta securely while allowing water to drain away. The charcoal gray finish suits modern kitchen collections. Home cooks who regularly prepare pasta dishes will find it a practical everyday tool.

Reinforced nylon core replaces flimsy all-silicone

A rigid nylon core runs through the flexible silicone, giving the claw enough strength to handle heavy portions without bending. This construction solves the common issue of purely silicone spoons that flex too much under a full load of wet noodles. The upgrade is worth it for anyone who has struggled with utensils that collapse when scooping from a deep pot. Buyers who need a slotted spoon for vegetables or a ladle for soup should look elsewhere.

Heat resistant to 600F suits stovetop use

The silicone withstands temperatures up to 600F, so it will not melt, warp or discolor when left against a hot pan or stirred through boiling sauce. This limit covers typical pasta cooking and sauce reduction tasks on domestic hobs. It is not rated for direct flame, broiler contact or oven use beyond the stated temperature. Users who require tools for high-heat searing or bakeware handling will need separate utensils.

Questions about this item

Will the charcoal gray silicone pasta claw fit in a standard utensil drawer?

The single-piece silicone design with a reinforced nylon core keeps the profile slim so it slides into most standard utensil drawers without catching on adjacent tools.

How do I install the pasta claw for first use, and what step do people skip?

No assembly is required; simply wash the utensil before first use — the step many skip is confirming it is dishwasher safe on the top rack, which prevents warping.

When will the silicone teeth or core need replacement?

The heat-resistant silicone withstands up to 600°F and resists stains, odors and buildup, so the claw remains serviceable for years of daily pasta serving without degradation.
