Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 router delivers up to 1.2 Gbps combined speed with MU-MIMO on 5 GHz for multiple devices
The TP-Link Archer A6 is a Wi-Fi 5 router delivering up to 1.2Gbps combined wireless throughput for homes that need reliable internet across multiple rooms. It targets households streaming 4K video or running several devices at once without upgrading to newer Wi-Fi generations.
Four Gigabit LAN ports let you connect PCs, consoles or a NAS directly for full wired speed while the 5GHz band uses MU-MIMO to serve several clients simultaneously. Beamforming focuses the signal toward connected devices and AP mode allows the unit to extend an existing network instead of acting as the primary gateway.
The router requires a separate modem or an ISP gateway with an Ethernet WAN port to establish the internet connection. Clients must support IEEE 802.11ac on 5GHz to reach the 900Mbps band rate; older 2.4GHz-only devices will fall back to 300Mbps. No modem is included in the package.
