Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 router delivering AC1750 speeds with three fixed antennas, four gigabit LAN ports, a USB 2.0 media server, VPN support and Alexa compatibility
Model Archer A7
The TP-Link Archer A7 is a Wi-Fi 5 wireless router delivering combined speeds up to 1.75Gbps across 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. It includes four gigabit LAN ports, one gigabit WAN port, a USB 2.0 port for media sharing and supports VPN server functions with PPTP, L2TP and IPSec protocols.
Households that need reliable wired connections for desktop PCs, consoles or NAS devices will benefit from the four gigabit ports. The USB 2.0 interface allows simple file or media sharing across the network. Buyers who need mesh networking, higher Wi-Fi generations or multi-gigabit WAN should consider other options.
The router’s AC1750 rating splits into 450Mbps on 2.4GHz and 1300Mbps on 5GHz, transmitted through three non-detachable antennas. This specification determines the maximum wireless throughput and coverage pattern for a given environment.

Other versions of this model
The router has no mounting slots; it sits on a flat surface with three fixed antennas that extend vertically from the top.
After connecting the WAN cable, the app asks you to create a new admin password — skipping this leaves the router on the default login.
Replace it if the router reboots under load or the adapter becomes unusually hot, as no internal user-serviceable parts exist.
