5 GHz outdoor access point delivers 867 Mbps over long distances with a 23 dBi directional antenna and IP65 weatherproof enclosure
The TP-Link CPE710 is a 5 GHz outdoor access point built for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links. It delivers up to 867 Mbps using 256 QAM and an 80 MHz channel on the 5.15–5.85 GHz band. The integrated 23 dBi directional antenna focuses the signal for extended reach and noise immunity. Installers and ISPs use it to bridge buildings or serve remote sites without fibre.
A 24 V 0.5 A passive PoE adapter ships in the box, powering the unit over the shielded Ethernet cable up to 60 metres. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports separate power-plus-data from data-only cabling. Snap-lock pole-mounting kits and three-axis alignment simplify aiming on masts or walls. The package also includes an AC power cord and an installation guide for immediate deployment.
The weatherproof housing meets IP65 and operates from -40 °C to 70 °C with 10–90 % non-condensing humidity. Built-in 15 kV ESD and 6 kV lightning protection shield the radio and Ethernet ports from outdoor surges. A remote reset button allows power cycling without climbing the structure. Pharos Control software and the web-based PharOS interface provide centralised management for multi-site networks.

The antenna is fixed inside an IP65 weatherproof enclosure rated for -40 °C to 70 °C operation; no moving parts require adjustment, and the sealed housing protects the radiating elements from dust and moisture.
The single gigabit Ethernet port caps wired throughput at 1000 Mbps, while the 2×2 MIMO radio peaks at 867 Mbps; under sustained load the wireless link reaches its ceiling before the wired interface does.
The unit has no fan and draws a maximum of 0.5 A at 24 V from the supplied injector; its IP65 metal enclosure passively dissipates heat across the -40 °C to 70 °C operating range with silent operation.
