A Wi-Fi 5 access point delivering up to 1.35 Gbps with MU-MIMO, mesh support, seamless roaming and PoE power
The TP-Link EAP225 V3 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 5 access point delivering up to 1350 Mbps aggregate throughput. It targets small to medium businesses that need reliable wireless coverage with centralised management. Power over Ethernet support simplifies placement where mains sockets are unavailable. The unit integrates with the Omada SDN platform for cloud or on-premises control.
Businesses moving from consumer-grade routers gain seamless roaming, band steering and mesh capability across multiple EAP units. MU-MIMO serves several clients at once, reducing airtime contention in dense environments. The jump is worthwhile when you need a single management pane for multiple access points and consistent handoff as users move through the premises.
Verify your switch or injector supplies 802.3af PoE or the included passive PoE adapter before ordering. For SDN features, confirm existing Omada controllers run a compatible firmware version; non-SDN controllers cannot manage this device. Ensure client devices support MU-MIMO to use the simultaneous-stream capability.

The EAP225 includes a mounting bracket and screw kit for ceiling or wall mounting, allowing secure attachment to standard junction boxes or direct surface mounting.
Connect the EAP225 to an 802.3af PoE switch or use the supplied passive PoE injector; the Ethernet cable carries both data and power to the access point.
Inspect the PoE injector or switch port if the EAP225 loses power intermittently or fails to power on, as injector failure is the most common maintenance point.
