Business-grade Wi-Fi 5 access point delivering 1.75 Gbps dual-band speed with MU-MIMO, mesh support, seamless roaming and PoE power
The TP-Link EAP245 V3 is a business-grade wireless access point that delivers dual-band Wi-Fi 5 connectivity with a combined wireless data rate of 1750 Mbps. It integrates with the Omada SDN platform for centralised management via hardware controller, software controller or cloud interface. Power-over-Ethernet support allows flexible ceiling or wall mounting without a nearby mains socket. The unit is supplied new in white finish.
This device suits IT administrators who need seamless roaming, mesh, band steering and MU-MIMO across multiple access points managed from a single pane of glass. It is not for buyers who want a simple plug-and-play home router with built-in NAT, DHCP or ISP modem functions. It also does not suit networks that cannot run PoE cabling or lack an Omada-compatible controller or switch.
The single specification that decides fit is Power-over-Ethernet operation combined with Omada SDN integration. If your infrastructure provides 802.3 af/at or passive PoE and you plan to manage the AP through an Omada controller, this model matches the requirement. If you need a device that runs from a DC jack alone or operates without SDN software, look at a different product class.

The EAP245 uses 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO to serve several clients simultaneously, keeping aggregate throughput close to the 1750 Mbps rating under sustained multi-device loads.
The access point has no fan; its 907 g chassis passively dissipates heat, so operation is silent and surface temperature stays low even with continuous PoE-powered use.
A passive PoE adapter is supplied, so the unit works immediately without a separate 802.3af/at PoE switch.
