Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi 6 Access Point

The TP-Link EAP625-Outdoor HD AX1800 is a dual-band wireless access point built for indoor and outdoor deployment. It targets network administrators who need managed Wi-Fi 6 coverage across open areas, warehouses or campus environments.

1800 Mbps Wireless Data Rates

The radio delivers an aggregate 1800 megabits per second across two bands with two antennas. That throughput supports typical high-density client loads such as guest access, IoT sensors and video streaming. It runs out when aggregate demand exceeds the PHY ceiling or when channel contention grows in very dense deployments.

Single Gigabit Uplink and PoE Power

A single LAN port carries both data and 48 V DC Power over Ethernet, so the AP cannot aggregate multiple wired links for higher backhaul bandwidth. The wired interface therefore caps practical throughput at one gigabit per second regardless of wireless capacity. Builders needing multi-gigabit backhaul or redundant uplinks must choose a different model.

Questions about this item

Will the single 48 V PoE port on the EAP625-Outdoor HD power up from my existing PoE switch?

The access point requires a 48 V DC supply delivered through its single LAN port; if your switch provides 48 V PoE on that port it will power the unit.

How can I verify the AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 link is running at the rated 1800 megabits_per_second after installation?

Check the client connection details in the controller or web UI — it will show the negotiated PHY rate for each band, confirming the dual-band aggregate reaches 1800 megabits_per_second.

Does the EAP625-Outdoor HD box include a PoE injector or just the white access point with its two antennas?

The package contains the white indoor/outdoor access point with two integrated antennas and mounting hardware; a 48 V PoE injector or compatible switch must be purchased separately.
