Delivers AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 speeds up to 2976 Mbps with PoE+ power, Omada SDN management and seamless roaming for dense business environments
The TP-Link EAP650 is a ceiling-mounted wireless access point built for offices, hospitality venues, classrooms and other dense environments. It delivers dual-band AX3000 performance with integrated Omada SDN management for centralised control. The unit supports both standalone operation and cloud-based administration via the Omada app. Its ultra-slim profile blends into modern interiors while providing enterprise-grade connectivity.
The AP provides 2402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, combining for a 2976 Mbps aggregate rate. High-efficiency WiFi 6 with 1024-QAM and HE160 allows more simultaneous clients at higher throughput. Mesh technology extends coverage wirelessly when cabling is impractical. In very high-density deployments the single Gigabit Ethernet uplink can become the limiting bottleneck for aggregate traffic.
The device draws power from 802.3at PoE+ or the included 12 V DC adapter, removing the need for a nearby mains socket. A single Gigabit RJ-45 port handles both data and power, simplifying cable runs above suspended ceilings. Reset button and internal omni antennas (4 dBi at 2.4 GHz, 5 dBi at 5 GHz) keep the exterior clean. The compact 160 mm diameter by 33.6 mm height footprint fits standard ceiling tiles and frees wall space for other equipment.

Yes, the access point supports IEEE 802.11n/g/b on 2.4 GHz so older laptops and IoT devices can connect at up to 574 Mbps on that band.
In the Omada controller or app, check the client list for a 5 GHz connection showing a 2402 Mbps link rate and run a local speed test to confirm real-world performance near that figure.
A 12 V DC power adapter is included; if you want to use 802.3at PoE+ instead, you must supply your own PoE+ injector or PoE+ switch.
