Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point delivering 2976 Mbps via PoE+ with Omada SDN cloud management and seamless roaming for business environments
The TP-Link EAP653 is a dual-band wireless access point built on the 802.11ax standard. It delivers combined wireless speeds up to 2976 Mbps across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands using internal omni antennas. The unit mounts flush to ceilings or walls and draws power through a single Gigabit Ethernet port via 802.3at PoE+ or an optional 12 V DC supply.
This access point suits offices, hotels, classrooms and cafés that want a single pane of glass for network control through Omada SDN hardware, software or cloud controllers. It supports mesh networking and seamless roaming when managed by an Omada controller. Buyers who require a standalone router, a built-in power adapter or multi-gigabit uplinks should look at other product types.
The EAP653 receives power and data over one RJ-45 port compliant with IEEE 802.3at. A 12 V DC input is also available, but the DC adapter is not included in the package and must be sourced separately. This single specification determines whether your existing switch or injector can drive the unit without extra hardware.

The package contains the EAP653 unit, ceiling and wall mounting kits, and an installation guide. The 12 V DC adapter is not included and must be purchased separately, or the unit can be powered via 802.3at PoE+.
Select the EU version for a 12 V / 1.0 A DC input requirement or the US version for a 12 V / 1.5 A DC input requirement. Both versions support 802.3at PoE+ power as an alternative.
The AX3000 label corresponds to a maximum combined dual-band link rate of 2976 Mbps using Wi-Fi 6 features such as 1024-QAM and HE60. Real-world throughput will be lower due to overhead and environmental factors.
