Multi-Gigabit VPN Gateway for Small Businesses

The TP-Link ER707-M2 is a wired VPN router built around two 2.5 Gbps RJ45 ports and five Gigabit ports including one SFP slot. It terminates IPsec tunnels at up to 673.3 Mb/s and runs Omada SDN for central cloud management of gateways, switches and access points.

Suited to Offices Needing Multi-WAN Resilience

This model fits networks that aggregate up to six WAN links for load balancing and failover while enforcing DPI, IDS/IPS and DoS protection. Buyers who require integrated wireless radios or Power over Ethernet for downstream devices should look at other models.

Dual 2.5 Gbps RJ45 Ports Decide Fit

The two 2.5 Gbps ports set the maximum wired throughput for a single WAN or LAN connection and determine whether the router can fully utilise multi-gigabit broadband plans. If your uplink tops out at 1 Gbps, a Gigabit-only gateway may be sufficient.
