Outdoor Wireless AP for Small Sites

The TP-Link Festa F41-Outdoor N300 is a weatherproof access point built for outdoor coverage. It delivers up to 300 Mbps using 2x2 MIMO on the 2.4 GHz band. The IP65 enclosure and 6 kV lightning protection suit exposed locations. Free cloud management via the Festa app or web interface simplifies setup for small businesses.

Suits Simple Outdoor Deployments

This unit fits installers who need a single managed AP with passive PoE and no recurring licence fees. The self-organising network feature helps coordinate multiple Festa devices. Buyers requiring dual-band operation, higher throughput, or integration with Omada controllers should consider other product lines.

2.4 GHz N300 Radio Determines Throughput

Peak wireless speed is capped at 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Range extends to roughly 200 metres in open conditions. Passive PoE is supplied through the included injector. Verify that client devices and backhaul links can operate within these limits before purchase.

Questions about this item

What maintenance does the IP65-rated enclosure need to keep its weather protection?

The IP65 enclosure resists dust and water jets; periodic visual checks of seals and cable glands keep the protection intact.

What limit appears first when the 2.4 GHz radio runs continuously at 300 Mbps?

The 2.4 GHz band and N300 2x2 MIMO link cap throughput at 300 Mbps, so sustained traffic hits that ceiling before other bottlenecks.

How much heat or noise does the unit produce when powered by the included passive PoE injector all day?

Passive PoE operation with no fan means silent running and minimal heat; the rugged housing dissipates warmth passively during continuous use.
