16.4 ft RGBIC Smart LED Strip

The TP-Link H618A is a 16.4 ft RGBIC LED strip light that draws 12 W at 24 V. Segmented multi-colour technology lets more than one colour appear at the same time. It connects over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and works with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. The strip weighs roughly .46 lb and measures 11.7 x 5 x 11.5 cm.

Plug-in power with app and voice setup

A 24 V 2 A adapter supplies power so no separate transformer is required. Wireless connectivity means the strip joins the home network without extra hubs. The Govee Home app handles on/off, brightness, colour changes, timers and music-sync modes from a phone. Voice assistants can trigger scenes or adjust settings without a handset.

App effects and music sync expand the experience

Sixty-four preset scene modes cover nature, holidays and party themes. Eleven music-sync modes react to sound through a built-in microphone. Users can create and share DIY effects in the app, and AI-generated themes can be produced from uploaded photos. A protective coating helps the strip survive daily handling.

Questions about this item

Does the 12 W, 24 V power supply limit how long the 16.4 ft strip can run at full brightness?

The adapter is rated 24 V 2 A, matching the strip’s 12 W draw, so it can sustain maximum output continuously.

How warm does the strip get and is there any fan noise after hours of use?

The strip runs on low-voltage LEDs with a protective coating and has no moving parts, so it stays warm to the touch but produces no audible noise.

What must I already have at home to set up and control the H618A?

A Wi-Fi network, a smartphone for the Govee Home app, and an Alexa or Google Assistant account if you want voice control.
