Outdoor Smart Dimmer Plug

The TP-LINK KP405 is a weather-resistant smart dimmer designed for outdoor dimmable lighting such as string lights or landscape fixtures. It connects directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network without a separate hub and responds to voice commands through Alexa or Google Assistant.

Dimming Capacity and Power Limits

The unit handles up to 4 Amps with a maximum load of 300 W for incandescent bulbs or 150 W for LED and CFL lamps. It is built exclusively for dimmable lights; non-dimmable loads cannot use the dimming function and may exceed the rated capacity.

Wi-Fi Range and Environmental Rating

The plug offers a wireless reach of up to 300 ft in open areas thanks to an integrated power amplifier. Its IP64 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes, while the UL94-V0 enclosure adds fire and heat resistance for outdoor durability.
